Turnover at fast growing independent accounting practice, Corrigan Associates was up 70 per cent in 2016.

Formed by Edward Corrigan in the depth of the recession, the practice has built to become one of the leading independent accounting practices in the city.

Clients include some of the fastest growing technology companies in the South West as well as independent businesses and charities.

Edward Corrigan said: “A first-rate set of staff and a genuine interest in helping our clients growth has underpinned our success.”

“Our practice is much more about advice and support throughout the year than the annual routines of the past. The growth in cloud accounting platforms like Xero is facilitating these developments as a wave of younger entrepreneurs coming forward look for a different service from their professional advisers.”

The business was bolstered by the addition of Richard Bunker as Private Client specialist partner at the beginning of the year along with Andrew Jordan, Assurance specialist.

Rich Harding and Annabelle Jillett joined during the year expanding the business support and financial reporting services respectively.

“We are fortunate to attract staff who have all worked for much larger businesses but they enjoy the challenge and opportunity of building an independent practice with a strong team ethos,” says Edward.
