Activated snacking brand ‘Boundless’ secures £1m investment

Boundless, the healthy snack brand on a mission to bring activated nuts and seeds to the masses, today announces a record raise.

The investment of £1m includes participation from existing Angel investors as well as a syndicate of high net worth individuals. The funds will be used to drive the brand’s next phase of growth, launch NPD and support further expansion into Europe and the Middle East.

Founded by Commodities Trader turned Entrepreneur Cathy Moseley, Boundless launched to market in November 2017, with the goal of revolutionising what functional snacking can be. Hitting a key milestone in this mission, the brand launched into Sainsbury’s full estate of stores last summer following a successful trial in their ‘Taste of the Future’ bay. Now three years in, Boundless can be found in more than 3,000 stores across the UK and in nine international markets including Hong Kong and Taiwan.

In the last six months alone, the online business has seen in excess of 2000% growth, with retailer sales
increasing 600% YOY.

Cathy Moseley, Founder of Boundless, said: “This is such a significant fundraise for us and one we believe will really help support our growth as we move into the next phase of the business. Our aim is to bring all the
natural health benefits of activated nuts and seeds to the nation, and to do this at an accessible price
point, whilst injecting bags of flavour and personality into the category. We truly believe the Boundless
consumer doesn’t have to compromise. Not only does our product range have unique flavour profiles,
the range is gut-friendly and 50% cheaper than the competition.

“We’ve got a huge vision for NPD and with gut health higher on the agenda than ever, our long term growth potential is huge. We’ve had a strong start to 2020, and are absolutely delighted to have secured this additional investment for the next stage of our journey.”
