Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has today been announced as a key sponsor of Venturefest Bristol and Bath 2015.

Venturefest returns to Bristol & Bath this year and will celebrate Bristol & Bath’s position as a global centre for innovation by showcasing the innovation and investment opportunities across the region..

Katherine Bennett, Vice President Public Affairs, Airbus comments: “We are very pleased to be championing Bristol and Bath’s status as a world centre for innovation through Venturefest.

“Innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship are at the heart of our business so being a part of something that celebrates entrepreneurs and innovators is really important to us.”

Venturefest enables entrepreneurs and innovators at all stages of the business lifecycle to connect with investors and thought leaders and is set to feature 60 exciting exhibitors, such as the multiple award winning OpenBionics, an open source 3D printing business that makes robotic hands.

The event has already gathered strong support from other industry leaders including KPMG and Europe’s #1 tech incubator SETsquared.

Nick Sturge, director of SETsquared, comments: “Bristol & Bath has developed a global reputation as an innovation hotspot and is the only fast-growing globally significant technology cluster in the UK. We want to make sure everyone knows what we have known for years – Bristol & Bath is the place to be for technology and innovation.”
