Alex Crowther appointed senior reporter at The HR World

As senior reporter and community manager, 21-year-old Alex joins with a range of experience having worked since he was 16 across a number of news, PR and comms roles.
The HR World is an online publication developed to support HRs navigate the new world of work by founder and entrepreneur Mike Beesley and is run by editor Sarah Rice.
Sarah said: “Alex is a first-class operator with a great news sense and digital savvy. For someone comparatively young he comes with a strong background of producing high quality content, but also brings a good commercial head too. We’re extremely pleased to welcome him to the team.”
His main roles at The HR World will be sourcing and writing stories and managing social media, as well as helping host unique events.
Alex, who recently graduated from the University of the West of England with a first class degree in Broadcast Journalism, said: “The future of work is an area I am really interested in and the timing of this opportunity could not be more perfect. HRs have been at the forefront of the changes needed to support us through the past 18 months. I’m looking forward to uncovering and telling the stories of how the employment landscape is developing in the crucial time ahead.”
Alex has worked as Weston-super-Mare AFC’s marketing and communications manager since 2018 alongside a number of other clients.
He also helped to create the Jill Dando News Centre, a facility which trains students across the South West in the skills and know-how needed to become news journalism.
