Amazon Business backing UK scale-ups by teaming up with Business Leader

Amazon Business have been announced as the Headline Sponsor for the 2020 ScaleUp Awards.

As part of the sponsorship, the event will be rebranded as the Amazon ScaleUp Awards, brought to you by Business Leader Magazine.

A scale-up business is defined as one that has an average annualised return of at least 20% in the past 3 years, with at least 10 employees in the beginning of the period.

They contribute a huge amount to the UK economy and according to the Scale-up Institute generated more than £1.3trn in combined turnover in the last financial year; compared to a turnover of £1.9trn by all SMEs combined.

Scale-up businesses also employ approximately 3.4m people across all sectors and areas of the UK economy.

The Amazon ScaleUp Awards, brought to you by Business Leader Magazine will highlight the leading companies and individuals that are operating in and around this space – providing a platform for scale-up entrepreneurs, SMEs and corporates to celebrate their success.
