Amdocs set to give its UK staff unlimited holidays

Amdocs, a global provider of software and services to communications and media companies, recently announced the extension of its program of unlimited paid holidays for staff to the United Kingdom, enabling its UK-based employees to take as much time off work as they want.

Under the “vacation without limits” policy, from 1 July every UK-based Amdocs employee will be able to take an unlimited number of holidays. They join Amdocs colleagues in countries including the USA, India and Israel, where the policy has already been rolled out.

A global company employing 30,000 people worldwide, with over 6,000 in Europe and the Middle East and Africa, Amdocs has offices in Chiswick in West London and Bath.

It works with around 350 of the world’s leading communications service providers to accelerate their migration to the cloud, enable them to differentiate in the 5G era, and digitalise and automate their operations. In the UK, Amdocs works with the likes of BT Group, Virgin Media O2, Three UK, Sky and Vodafone.

Listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market, Amdocs had revenue of $4.3 billion (£3.5 billion) in fiscal 2021 and in the second quarter of fiscal 2022 reported record quarterly revenues of $1.15 billion (£949 million).

Judith Yampolsky, Global Head of HR at Amdocs, described the introduction of vacation without limits as a “win-win” for Amdocs and its UK-based employees.

She said: “Removing limits on vacation frees our people up to spend more time with their families, get errands done, enjoy their hobbies and generally achieve a positive work-life balance.”

“From the employer’s perspective, we know that giving our team members the opportunity to invest in themselves and their wellbeing will empower them to deliver their best when they are at work. We’ve had excellent feedback from our employees in countries where the program is already live, and we’re excited to introduce it in the UK.”
