A trendy barbershop better resembling a luxury bachelor pad is getting ready to inject 21st century men’s hairdressing into Bristol City Centre.
Jacks of London, the male salon of the future, launches to the public in Penn St, on May 25 and 26, offering the ultimate barbering experience where customers do not mind having to queue.
The funky chain, which has branches in London and Birmingham, will offer a state-of-the-art hairdressing experience, where customers can pass the time chilling in the modern surroundings.
Clients can sit on the leather sofas drinking free beer, tea or coffee, surf the Internet, watch plasma sports walls or log on to the gaming station.
Owner Noel Gilronan, 50, who already runs a highy succesful franchise in Birmingham with a clientelle boasting seveal celebrities, says Bristol is ready to embrace the future of modern hairdressing.
Noel says having lived in Clifton, Bristol, in the past and seeing how it has been rejuvinated with substantial investment recently, he felt it was the perfect destination for Jacks Of London.
He said: “Bristol has experienced serious investment in the past few years, securing it as a modern UK city and Jacks of London sits perfectly into this fashionable environment at Cabot Circus.
“We will be offering the ultimate, cool, city centre bachelor pad where guys can experience the highest levels of hairdressing while chilling out in stylish surroundings as they wait.
“I am certainly one of those people who dislikes queuing but at Jacks of London customers can relax, play games, check emails and drink free beer, what more could a man ask for?”
Just when you think it could not get any more modern, there is a virtual queue available from the company website showing customers who dislike queuing, how many customers are in store.
Noel added: “We cater for all customers, so even if you don’t fancy the entertainment on offer, you can check the queue online to see how busy we are before heading down.
“Following my success in Birmingham, I felt it was time for a new challenge and what better way than investing in an area I used to live in.
“All types of people pop in to us to get their hair cut from celebrities, to students and the modern entrepreneur, so we have a wide appeal.
“I really believe Jacks of London is the future of men’s hairdressing.”
Aside from haircutting the salon also offers colouring, professional cut throat shaving or beard trimming to offer a complete experience.
“Guys don’t want to pay an arm and a leg to get their hair cut in a posh salon, what real men want is somewhere cool and comfortable, which is what we do here,” Noel continued.
“Jacks Of London is the new bachelor pad for Bristol City Centre, so what are you waiting for come down to our launch on May 25 and 26 and chill out while getting your hair styled.”
To celebrate the launch one lucky Bristolian is being offered the chance to become King of Bristol with free haircuts for a year, queue jump, their own throne instore plus royal priviledges for their friends, simply by liking the Facebook page www.facebook.com/Jacksbristol.
