Accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO, has welcomed a senior hire to its Bristol team, appointing Matthew Sewell as tax partner.
Matthew joins BDO following 10 years at RSM where he held a number of senior positions, most recently tax partner.
He brings vast experience to his new role, having advised a wide range of fast growing and multinational businesses in the South West, and will be focusing on offering international tax services and supporting in-house finance and tax functions.
He said: “I am really looking forward to continuing to advise and support businesses in the South West. It is an exciting time to join BDO just three months after the merger with Moore Stephens LLP and I can’t wait to see the team continue to grow.”
Andrea Bishop, Partner and Head of BDO’s Bristol office said: “Matthew will be an invaluable addition to our team as it continues to grow, contributing substantial, multi-sector expertise to advise clients as they navigate complex challenges and achieve their goals.”
In February this year, BDO announced its merger with Moore Stephens LLP, making it the UK’s number one accountancy and advisory firm focused on entrepreneurially-spirited mid-sized businesses. Since the start of 2019, the firm has appointed ten new partners spanning the business’ London and regional offices.
