A major £750,000 extension to the Lodge Causeway Dental Centre in Bristol has officially opened.

The 18-month project, which was funded by a £750,000 loan from NatWest, comprised the refurbishment and redevelopment of a former learning disability unit adjacent to the existing practice.

The scheme will improve the patient experience thanks to more modern facilities on the ground floor (the previous surgery rooms were on the first floor) as well as a new reception area and patient car parking.

The new building will also enable the practice to take on more staff and expand its customer base.

The centre, part of the Smile Line UK network of dental practices, was first established in the 1940’s and provides expert dental care to NHS, Denplan and private patients.

Owned by Reza Ardalan, Asaad Emami and Homoyoun Bagherzadah, the practice also features three two-bed and one one-bed flats on the upper floors.

Reza Ardalan, Lodge Causeway Dental Centre, said: “We are grateful for the expert advice and funding from the team at NatWest and Stephen Moor in particular – we couldn’t have completed this amazing project without them.

“Ourvision was to create an improved experience for all of our patients and a lovely working environment for our staff – I think we have more than achieved this”
