Black and White Hospitality, which operates and manages the Marco Pierre White group of franchised restaurants is reporting brisk business in the run up to reopening on May 17.

With 10,000 covers already booked 17 May 17 across 23 sites demonstrates the appetite to eat out following the latest easing of lockdown restrictions. The business is also reporting 28,000 advance covers for May with over 10,000 coves already booked for June.

Nick Taplin Chairman and CEO of the fast-growing hospitality group said: “It’s great to be able to open our doors and is great to see so many people prepared to come out to enjoy a meal across those venues that are reopening. And as we ease our way out of lockdown, we will look forward to opening more venues and welcoming more people wanting to dine out.

“There’s no denying that the hospitality sector has been hit hard by this pandemic and has presented operators, like ourselves, with its own set of challenges, however we were determined to come out of this by hitting the ground running so that our franchise partners and all our customers can feel reassured we’ve done all we can to provide them with a safe dining environment.

“The level of covers so far proves that people right across the UK are itching to get out to enjoy a meal with family and friends. With more people looking to do a staycation this year, will only go on to fuel this demand even more and my view is we’re in for a very busy time over the next few months.”
