Boris Johnson

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has quit his role, amid growing pressure on Prime Minister Theresa May.

The growing crisis over the UK’s Brexit strategy has already seen Brexit secretary David Davis resign earlier today.

With Theresa May due to give an imminent speech to Parliament about her updated Brexit plan, her reign as PM is hanging by a thread, with many of her fellow conservative party members publicly criticising her plans.

A statement from 10 Downing Street thanked Johnson for his work as Foreign Secretary and announced that a replacement will be found shortly.

With further developments expected, please keep updated on the movements of the UK government on Business Leader.
