Bridewell Consulting announces investment from Growth Capital Partners


A team from global investment bank GCA Altium’s Manchester office has acted as exclusive advisors to the shareholders of cyber security firm Bridewell Consulting, on securing investment from Growth Capital Partners (GCP).

Established in 2013, Bridewell Consulting is an independent provider of end-to-end cyber security services, with 75 per cent year-on-year revenue growth since FY18.

Headquartered in Reading, the company has supported over 100 clients in the last 12 months alone, in industries including critical national infrastructure, financial services and central government. This successful track record is supported by a team of over 80 employees, with plans to double this figure by 2022.

GCP, an independent PE firm specialising in partnership investments with UK growth companies, will take a minority stake in the business. The investment forms part of a wider five-year growth strategy for Bridewell, which including scaling at pace in the UK and Europe, in addition to facilitating wider expansion in North America and Asia. Bridewell will also use the capital to accelerate its cyber security and managed security services, including the expansion of its Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service and its Security Operations Centre (SOC).
