Bristol accountants appoints new lead for growing employment taxes team

Grant Thornton has appointed Matt Parfitt to lead the growing employment taxes team in the Bristol and Cardiff offices.

Parfitt brings a wide range of commercial and technical experience to Grant Thornton. He is a regular contributor to leading tax publications and joins from Nationwide Building Society, where he led the in-house Employee Taxes team.

Prior to that, he was a member of the Global Employer Solutions team at Deloitte and previously ran his own internet retail business.

Parfitt’s team in Bristol will be working with organisations across the South West, assisting them with the variety of challenges and opportunities currently facing employers, including the Apprenticeship Levy, accessing funding for training and National Minimum Wage compliance.

In addition, Matt will be leading his team to support clients regarding complexities of employer compliance and dealing with HMRC on a variety of matters.
