The Bristol office of global insurance broker Lockton has helped to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
As part of a national campaign, and the firm’s largest ever charity event, Lockton employees got on their bikes to cycle more than 1,000 miles to raise funds for their charity of the year, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
In September Lockton colleagues and friends cycled around the UK and Ireland relay-style from office to office for the event, accompanied by official mascot Bernard the Bear.
All in all participants traveled over 1,000 miles and raised £55k in total – with the Bristol office contributing £1500.
Chris Lennon, head of Bristol office for Lockton, comments: “We were delighted to take part and raise money for such a worthy charity. It was a testing cycle and humbling to see all of the offices and employees across the UK, getting involved.”
