Bristol firm is lead adviser as Twitter acquires tech firm
Bristol accountancy firm BDO LLP has acted as lead adviser in the sale of Bristol-based technology firm SecondSync to Twitter.
Partner Laura Shaw, who works in the coporate finance team led on the deal.
SecondSync, which operates out of Aardman Animations’ Bristol office, provides a suite of tools designed to help advertisers and broadcasters measure their performance on social media.
Laura Shaw comments: “After a difficult few years we are definitely witnessing an increase in M&A activity in the market.
“This deal clearly illustrates that local and innovative, fast growth businesses are a major attraction to even the largest international corporates looking to continue with their growth strategies.
“The dominance of digital in day-to-day interactions has sparked a race in the tech market to understand and leverage data collected.
“The deal with SecondSync provides Twitter with great access to the UK broadcasters on a great tech platform to grow on the previous acquisitions they have made in the sector.”
