The team at Bristol-based Rethink Group recently hosted a charity sports day in aid of the Diane Modahl Sports Foundation.

Almost 40 of the Bristol team joined in the day, fiercely competing in much-loved school style track events including the egg and spoon and wheelbarrow races. To add to the fun, staff took part in the event in themed teams; each dressing in fancy dress costumes including wrestlers, American Football players and tennis players.

Their efforts mean that almost £600 has been raised for the charity, as Christine Christodoulou, director at Rethink in Bristol explained: “This was a fantastic opportunity for our team to work together and do great things for charity. At Rethink we advocate and encourage our team to use their working day for good causes; events like this show how well we can do that.

“All of our staff thoroughly enjoyed the day and we hope to be able to host a similar event in the future.”

DMSF is a registered charity which was founded by Commonwealth gold medallist and Olympic star Diane Modahl.

The foundation gives young people access to world-class coaching and coaches, with the aim of creating champions of the future, whether they be in the arena of sport, business, culture or politics.

Speaking of the day, Diane said: “Our charity’s about empowering and giving opportunities to disadvantaged young people and the funds raised will help us do more of that. Thanks, guys!”
