The British Business Bank has appointed Paul Sullivan to a new position as Senior Manager, UK Network for the East of England.
The British Business Bank – the government-owned economic development bank dedicated to making finance markets work better for smaller businesses – is establishing a UK Network, with team members based within each of the English regions and the three Devolved Nations.
The UK Network was originally announced as part of the Government’s modern Industrial Strategy in November 2017, with a remit to identify and help to reduce imbalances in access to finance for smaller businesses across the UK.
Paul will represent the UK Network across the East of England and will engage closely with business finance stakeholders in the area. He will be working alongside a team of three other Senior Managers covering the South and East of England.
Paul Sullivan, Senior Manager, UK Network said: ”Smaller businesses are a vital part of the UK economy and it is important for their success that they have access to information about the range of financial options available to them, whatever stage they are at. With so many factors that impact these businesses, it is imperative that their route to access the finance they need becomes easier.
“I’m really looking forward to further developing the many existing relationships I have in the East of England, and to forge new ones as the Bank collaborates with the business ecosystem.”
