Following the Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s announcement yesterday regarding the roadmap to ease COVID-19 restrictions, Business Leader has said that the South West Business Leader Awards will now take place in-person on 23rd September at Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol.

The organisers have also said that only those vaccinated against Covid-19 – or with a medical exemption – can attend, making it the first event in the UK to announce this requirement publically.

The news will be a big boost to the business community as it looks to recover from the last twelve months.

The event organisers will also be giving guests the opportunity to attend ‘virtually’ should they wish.

Founder of the Business Leader Awards, Andrew Scott comments: “We are adopting a ‘COVID-safe’ approach and guests will be required to have been vaccinated (or have medical exemption). This is a wonderful opportunity for entrepreneurs, business leaders and professionals from across the South West to come together in-person (as well as being televised via live broadcast).

“It is the entrepreneurs and business-builders that will drive our economy forward, and it’s time we recognise their achievements given the year we’ve all had.”

This is the first live event in the UK that has announced that attendees will require being vaccinated beforehand and this is the policy of Business Leader, not Bristol Sport, Ashton Gate or any other associated parties.

Entries are now open, and we invite businesses and leaders from the region to get involved. To see the 15 categories available, click here.
