Business Leader is set to double its team in the next two years and is currently recruiting for its latest role.

The UK’s leading business media has seen growth across its digital events, print magazine and social media platforms over the last year and is initially recruiting for a new Social Media and Community Manager. Set to move into new offices in June this year, the team is also mapping out its live events strategy with its famous Business Leader Awards set to return in person in September this year.

The recruit will play an important role in helping to fuel Business Leader’s ambitious plans. Business Leader is part of the Ascot Group – an 80 strong business based in Weston-super-Mare.

The Role

The Social Media and Community Manager is a key role within the team. You will be responsible for supporting our national community of entrepreneurs, business owners and advisors by sharing our latest news and content via e-newsletters, website content updates and social media.

You’ll be managing multiple social media accounts across Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and other channels, engaging with our followers with the goal of helping us build a large social media audience and newsletter database.

In addition to sharing news and content, you’ll be helping us attract customers and followers via great content ideas and promotion of our events and activities.

Business Leader is a busy newsroom, an events business and the go-to media for busy entrepreneurs, as such this role is very fast-paced, results-driven and high energy.

About You

You’ll be a pro-active person with an excellent all-round knowledge of digital and social media platforms, with good copywriting skills and a real eye for design and attention to detail.

The role is ideal for an individual who is self-motivated, keen to learn, and can work under pressure to deadlines.

You will have;

• An excellent understanding of social media platforms and social influence particularly Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
• Good database management skills and confident with MS Excel
• Good all-round writing and editing skills to create social content and edit website and newsletter copy
• Familiar with blogs and website content/updating
• Familiar with email marketing platforms
• A strong eye for design and brand, to ensure our content is always on-message
• Excellent organisation and planning skills
• A creative thinker able to come up with ideas to engage our community
• Great interpersonal skills and be a real team player
