Business opens its doors for Made In North Somerset

The Picture Framers based in Chelvey, on Brockley Lane, is running two picture framing demonstrations at its workshop in September 2012 as part of the “Made in North Somerset” festival that is taking place throughout the county.
The aim is to demonstrate what’s involved in basic picture framing and will last 1 hour. Members of the public can book on for free and refreshments will be provided.
This is the first time the business has opened their doors to the public in this way and it is hoped that it will give people an insight into the skills of picture framing.
Picture Framer, Andy Hale comments: “Our customers are always asking us about what’s involved in the process of framing, and although we can’t possibly cover everything in a hour, it’ll give people an introduction to what we actually do. We relish the opportunity to shout about us often forgotten Framers.”
Formerly known as Gallery 370 based in Cleeve, the framers moved to Brockley Lane, just off the A370 in November last year.
The new open plan workshop has created lots of curiosity according to Andy, as customers can see him hand painting frames or putting frames together.
You can book on a session by emailing Georgina at hello@framerschelvey.com or phone on 01275 218754.
Sessions run on Wednesday 19 Sept, 9am-10am or Thursday 20 Sept, 12pm-1pm. To find out more about Made In North Somerset please visit: http://innorthsomerset.co.uk/get-involved/made-in-north-somerset
