Savills and Michael Graham Young, on behalf of George Capital Ltd, has let the second floor of Windsor Court in Cardiff city centre to Cloth Cat.

The visual effects studio is expanding from its current headquarters at Cardiff Bay and has agreed a new five year lease on 6,470 sq ft at Windsor Court. The office building is located on Cardiff’s busy Queen Street and benefits from close proximity to the city’s main retail thoroughfare and the main transport links.

Jon Rennie, MD of Cloth Cat, commented: “As the animation industry in Wales grows, and more projects are benefitting from the inward investment with Welsh Government, we saw the need at Cloth Cat Animation to expand from our previous studio in Cardiff Bay and move to a new site in the heart of Cardiff’s Queen Street.

“Access to amenities and public transport were key to that decision, not only for staff living locally but also for those further afield who journey by train. Gary Carver and his team at Savills ensured that we had all the information we needed to move quickly into Windsor Court and set up the studio so that we could start work on exciting new international animation projects.”

Gary Carver, director in the business space team at Savills Cardiff, added: “We are delighted to have secured Cloth Cat as the newest occupier at Windsor Court. The city is gaining a reputation as a hub for tech and creative occupiers, making the central location of the building perfect for Cloth Cat.”
