Cath Kidston set to call in administrators as coronavirus continues to hit high street

Cath Kidston, the British floral fashion brand, has announced that it is set to file for administration as the coronavirus shutdown continues to hit the high street retailers.

The administration will put nearly 950 jobs at risk at the company across the firms 200 stores across the world.

Cath Kidston confirmed that it intends to appoint advisory firm Alvarez & Marsal as administrators.

A spokesperson said it was part of an ongoing process to explore all options for the company which was in the middle of a turnaround plan before the pandemic struck.

Cath Kidston is to permanently to shut all 60 of its UK stores, resulting in the loss of 908 jobs after the international retailer officially fell into administration.
