A delegation of senior officials from Hunan Province in China will be visiting Bristol next week to explore potential opportunities for future collaboration and partnership.

Bristol and West of England China Bureau is partnering with Make it China to organise the visit, supported by Business West.

Centrepiece of the visit on July 5 will be a roundtable presentation and discussion about this fast-developing province of China to be held at Business West’s base at Leigh Court in Abbots Leigh.

Dianne Francombe, Chief Executive of the Bristol and West of England China Bureau, said: “Hunan Province is the 7th most populous and one of the fastest growing provinces in China. It was also the birthplace of Chairman Mao.

“As an important manufacturing base accelerating the new industrialisation of the region, there is clearly some common ground between Hunan and Bristol. There are a limited number of tickets available for this event so I would urge BWECB members to reserve their place immediately.”
