A health club in North Somerset has celebrated its 10th Anniversary with staff, club members and customers.

The Club & Spa at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House was founded in 1996 by local entrepreneur Nick Taplin and has gone on to become one of the UK’s leading health clubs and spas with in excess of 4000 members.

The Club and Spa features a cutting-edge gym, studio classes, a luxurious 20-metre pool, steam room, sauna and hot tub. The new £350,000 spa extension has added further to the venue’s appeal with a new relaxation room, outdoor hot tub and terrace.

Representing an investment of more than £6 million, The Club & Spa, has recently added a new Marco Pierre White restaurant brand, Bardolino, to its offering; the first in the UK to open.

Group general manager, Jason Eaton, said: “We’ve had an amazing 10 years since launching The Club and Spa and it has been fantastic to celebrate our achievements with staff and of course our members, many of whom have been with us from the very beginning.

“What started off as one of Nick Taplin’s ambitious ideas has become one of the region’s most successful business stories and has really made its mark within the fitness industry.

“We’ve invested in the best technology including the latest Artis and Technogym equipment and we’re constantly looking for new ways to grow and offer our members more.”
