Contractor posts ‘outstanding’ figures for financial year end
Privately owned regional contractor Pollard, have posted figures for the financial year ended March 2014 with turnover standing at £18.6m.
Revenues for the Bridgwater based company increased 68% rising from £11m to £18.6m with a profit of £299,000, an increase of 85%.
Managing Director, Bill Badham comments: “These outstanding results reflect the success of the strategy we embarked upon to refocus the business as a regional contractor.
“As we are all too acutely aware, the construction industry has been through a deep recession, the impact of which is still being felt, but through controlled expansion of our geographical area, careful management of our cost base and cash flow we are in an excellent position to build on our success”.
“With the quality of our order book and client base we are on target to achieve revenues for the current year of £30m, in line with the Board’s expectations.”
Current and recent contracts projects include the £4m relocation of The Fry Sports and Social Club at Keynsham for Taylor Wimpey.
A new £1.75m Information Management and Records Office at RUH Bath; a £1.4m Employment Skills Centre at Strode College in Street and a £1.9m industrial development for Sharpak in Bridgwater.
Pollard were also involved in the construction of a recently completed £2.75m office development in Weston, called The Hive.
