Cook Corporate Solicitors have acted for the UPUGO group of companies in the sale of a minority stake to the Hakim Group.

The transaction will enable the specialist SEO and digital group to open a Manchester office, further expand all businesses into Europe and more aggressively into America. The group aims to list on the London Stock Exchange at the end of 2021.

Since the first COVID outbreak UPUGO have sold two minority stakes in four companies to key customers and have seen the group of companies grow aggressively.

“I want to thank all legal teams involved including Cook Corporate Solicitors who also completed the previous deal,” said Luke Sartain, CEO and founder of UPUGO.

“We were delighted to act on this transaction,” commented Charles Cook of Cook Corporate. “The group is going from strength to strength and this strategic sale will enable the group to move to the next exciting phase.”
