Cook Corporate Solicitors has announced the appointment of Ed Schofield as a Trainee Solicitor – Cook Corporate’s first ever training contract.

Ed joined the firm upon its creation in December 2018 as a paralegal and was awarded a training contract in February 2019.

The collaborative office environment that the firm’s Clifton office is based in will provide a unique opportunity for Ed to work closely with Charles Cook, the Managing Partner, and also develop skills such as winning new clients and learning about the exciting new companies in the firm’s combined workspace during his two years of training at Cook Corporate.

Ed’s responsibilities will include Corporate, Company Commercial, Employment, and Company Secretarial.

Ed has been a key member of the overall development of Cook Corporate having assisted on the sale of £100m turnover postal delivery company, ONEPOST, to The Delivery Group and the MBI of laser vehicle alignment specialists Steertrak UK Limited.

Charles Cook, Managing Partner of the firm, stated: “I am delighted that Ed has commenced his training contract with us. He is already a valued member of the team and he will develop as a lawyer and a person over the next two years by working with us on client transactions.”

Ed said: “I am thrilled to be awarded a Training Contract with Cook Corporate.  I joined the firm as a Paralegal eager-eyed to gain experience in the world of corporate law and was motivated more so by the unique opportunity to help build a law firm from the very beginning, which is not an opportunity you get everyday.”
