The New Road Hotel has launched a new co-working scheme.  It now offers a three-tier package which provides freelancers, start-ups and fledgling businesses with co-working space.

Hotel general manager Joost de Kruiff said: “Whitechapel is developing a bit of a reputation as an area that attracts a lot of people in the creative, media, communications and tech sectors, so it comes as no surprise that it is at the forefront of the change in working patterns and behaviours.

“We like to think that we’re leading the way in the local hospitality and lifestyle scene and the mixture of co-working desks, designated spaces, and small offices are all perfect for a growing business.”

Located on the site of an old textile factory, New Road Hotel’s concept centres around stripped-back luxury and necessity. Its interior design with exposed brickwork and open plan architecture reflects both its heritage and location within London’s famous East End, where the garment trade boomed in the 1960s.

Joost added: “Our three options have been labelled Pop In, Clock In or Join In and have been designed to offer flexibility based on people’s needs.

“Pop In is a no strings attached option so people can literally just pop in and take a seat. Clock In is a cost-effective pay as you go hot desk, which comes with added benefits such as 24-hour access, super-fast unlimited WiFi and access to the onsite bike store.

“The final option, Join In, is a more substantial, but still very competitive deal, that includes everything from the first two packages plus extra items such as overnight bag storage, assigned offices, and access to the social zones including the games room, library, and yoga fitness area.

“Co-workers have the option to downsize or scale-up with more space as and when needed and it creates a collaborative culture, allowing people from different sectors to come together.”
