The TECHEETAH Formula-E team has announced that Efacec, a global technology company in the field of energy, environment and mobility has joined the team as a new official partner.
With many subsidiaries and businesses across 90 countries, Efacec is a worldwide leader in fast-charging charging infrastructures for electric vehicles.
Efacec have entered into a three-year agreement with TECHEETAH, starting at the New York E-Prix this weekend, and continuing through Season Five, Six and Seven.
Efacec recognize that being involved in the world’s premier all-electric street racing series present them with a unique opportunity to show case their products in a deeply innovative and high tech market to a global audience and to leverage the multiple B2B opportunities that this partnership entails.
As Efacec is also focusing on expanding its business into the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, partnering with the only Chinese registered team in the championship and its parent company CMC will afford Efacec a greater opportunity for growth in the APAC region and beyond.
“We continue to build our team and we look to partner with companies that align with the sport’s drive towards future technology and Efacec is a perfect example of that alignment. We are confident that we can deliver true return on investment for Efacec not only as an extremely competitive racing team but also as a strategically minded business organization that can offer new business growth,” said Keith Smout, Chief Commercial Officer, TECHEETAH Formula-E Team.
“We’re delighted to join TECHEETAH Formula-E team as a partner. We are confident that Formula E is the future of motorsport, perfectly merging sports competitiveness with sustainability as these are two principles that guide Efacec’s everyday activity.
“We are looking forward to engaging with this unique zero-emissions sport, entertainment product and unique business development platform. We believe that TECHEETAH can deliver exactly what we need, and we aim to capitalize on this opportunity.
“We’re very excited to join the team in a three-year partnership and look forward to share victories, both on track and in business,” said Ângelo Ramalho, CEO Efacec.
“It’s fantastic to welcome yet another new partner this year to the team. Motorsport is all about team-work and our partners play a key role in this. Every time that we’ve signed a new partner this year at a race, we’ve won that race, so it’s with even greater pleasure that I welcome Efacec to the team,” said championship leader and TECHEETAH driver Jean-Éric Vergne.
