Efinor Limited opens its new offices in West of England

International engineering, manufacturing and support firm Efinor Limited opened its new offices in Bristol this week as part of its work with the Hinkley Point C nuclear new build team.

Group executive Chairman Fabrice Lepotier and General Manager Jean-François Mouchel journeyed from France to officially open the company’s new offices, within Whitefriars (having moved from Victoria Street), alongside the West of England Mayor Tim Bowles.

These new offices welcome Efinor Limited’s engineering team and project management office, as well as H&E Engineering Limited – a UK company jointly owned between China’s Huaxing Construction Company and Efinor – established in 2018.

Anthony Prod’homme, the Managing Director of Efinor Limited, said: “The opening of these new offices confirm Efinor’s desire to pursue a constructive relationship with its key customers and to develop new business opportunities. We thank the West of England Combined Authority for its continued support through its inward investment arm Invest Bristol & Bath.

“Thanks to our established position, we are now developing a site team to deliver work on the Hinkley Point C site and support the broader nuclear new build team, building on our experience with EDF’s Flamanville nuclear plant in France. We’re also keen to get involved on Sizewell C and offer continuing support to nuclear new build teams working with China General Nuclear and EDF Energy in the UK.

“We also foresee potential growth for ourselves and our supply partners in the UK decommissioning market – both within the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority estate and the future decommissioning of the commercial fleet, as well as internationally on the broader energy market.”

Since first arriving in Bristol two years ago, Efinor has grown ten-fold – with 25 jobs being created at its new office to assist the company’s growth in the UK, in support of the Hinkley Point C nuclear new build team.

Tim Bowles, Mayor of the West of England, said: “I’m delighted to celebrate Efinor’s expansion into new offices in the West of England, creating even more opportunities for our highly-skilled residents and increasing our supply chain activity – both nationally and globally.

“We’re proud to support investment into our region by providing business intelligence, through Invest Bristol & Bath, and the West of England Combined Authority will continue to work closely with Efinor to support its growth and ambitions in the region.”

Andy Bates, Inward Investment lead for Nuclear South West said: “It’s wonderful to see the growth and expansion of Efinor’s UK office and its successful contracts and work within the Hinkley supply chain that has enabled it not only to attract local talent but support economic growth for the West of England. We wish Efinor every continued success here in the South West.”
