Employee at investment group is number one

An employee at an accountancy and investment management group, has achieved first place in an advanced qualification.

Samantha Barnes, an audit trainee at Smith & Williamson, has come top of her class in the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Financial Reporting and Financial Management exams.

The qualification is one of the most advanced learning and professional development programmes available.

Samantha joined the group after graduating from the University of Bath with a degree in Modern Languages and European Studies.

Samantha comments: “It is fantastic to see all the hard work pay off and I couldn’t be happier.

“In order to qualify as a chartered accountant, it is essential for me to pass the ACA exams, of which there are fifteen in total.

“I am excited to see what the future holds for my career.”
