Entries still open for Scale-Up Awards by Business Leader

There is just over a month until the Amazon Scale-Up Awards by Business Leader close for entry.

Entries to the awards will close on November 15, after which the carefully assembled judging panel that includes business heavyweights such as Piers Linney, Mike Clare and Jackie Fast will select the winners.

The Amazon Scale-Up Awards by Business Leader were launched to provide a platform for the UK’s most successful companies.

A scale-up business is defined as one that has an average annualised return of at least 20% in the past three years, with at least 10 employees in the beginning of the period.

They contribute a huge amount to the UK economy and according to the Scaleup Institute generated more than £1.3tn in combined turnover in the last financial year; compared to a turnover of £1.9tn by all SMEs combined.

Scale-up businesses also employ approximately 3.4 million people across all sectors and areas of the UK economy.
