He has been awarded second place and an overall prize of £2000 in the national finals of the CISI Educational Trust Awards, a UK-wide competition for outstanding student coursework.

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) is the largest and most widely respected professional body, for those who work in the securities and investment industry in the UK, and in a growing number of financial centres globally.

Deepak took part in the finals, an Interview Day at the CISI Head Office in London on 17 April 2015.

He comments:“I am very thankful to UWE and their academic staff for their excellent quality of teaching.

“The fact that I was given the opportunity to represent my University and was privileged to receive commendations from the CISI, is a tangible recognition of my efforts towards becoming a professional in the finance industry.

“With significant competition for the best finance sector opportunities, being part of this initiative will help me to stand out from the crowd. The whole experience was incredibly rewarding.

“It gave me the opportunity to meet talented senior people from the industry.

“I congratulate the CISI for organising events such as this and for supporting students on their path towards becoming professionals of the finance industry.”
