A Somerset‐based firm has received a business boost from Retail Entrepreneur Theo Paphitis.

Five months ago, David Thorne, owner of Workplace Stuff, tweeted Theo about his new business during ‘Small Business Sunday’, an initiative set up by Theo that runs weekly.

Theo re‐tweeted David’s message to his 471,000 followers and as a result, the business (www.workplacestuff.co.uk) has visibly gained more followers and extra orders for their range of business products.

They are also profiled on a new website that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.

David Thorne comments: “My dad has been in the construction trade for 44 years, so I’ve grown up knowing the ins and outs of virtually every product.

“Just under a year ago it occurred to me that I should set up my own business specialising in selling this equipment, six months later I did.

“To have support from someone like Theo is fantastic because he’s recognised the hard work and determination it’s taken to get here, spreading the word about what we do to his followers on Twitter was just the cherry on the cake.”
