ForrestBrown, the UK’s largest specialist R&D tax credit consultancy, has announced that it will be expanding its tax associate programme in 2019 by recruiting for eight new associates in April, plus a further eight this summer. ForrestBrown initially launched its tax associate training programme last year, and in 2018 supported 28 team members in their professional qualifications.
The firm of chartered tax advisers, headquartered in Bristol, was named by The Sunday Times as the number one company to work for in the South West in 2018. It also ranked 47th best small company to work for in the UK.
ForrestBrown has also announced that it will also be adding more than 40 new roles in 2019 to its growing team of specialist tax advisers, sector specialists, lawyers and ex-HMRC inspectors, which currently stands at a headcount of 88.
Having enjoyed a bumper 2018, highlights have included delivering more than £100m in R&D tax credits to innovative clients across the UK. The company has also celebrated its fifth birthday, opened a new London office in Tower 42 and launched the ForrestBrown forest in association with TREE AID – planting a tree in Africa for every claim that it completes.
Talking about the next phase of an exciting journey for the company, Simon Brown, managing director and founder of ForrestBrown, said: “We take great pride in investing in our people and are therefore delighted to be expanding our team in 2019. Our associate training programme has proven to be a great success, and I look forward to adding more trainees to our ranks. With this in mind, we are currently looking to move offices in Bristol to ensure we have the space to accommodate our growing team.
“I am really proud of our success in the last year. We love helping our clients grow, and so delivering £100m for them to invest back into their innovation this year is incredibly rewarding. At the same time, we’ve doubled the size of our team and won Taxation’s prestigious ‘best independent consultancy firm’ in recognition of our technical excellence and client service.”
In Spring 2018, ForrestBrown also became a wholly owned subsidiary of alliantgroup, the premier provider of tax credits and incentives in the US.
