Fortus strengthens creative industries expertise through merger with Balmforth Associates

As Fortus Business Advisors & Accountants near their second anniversary, which included the launch of the Creative Industries advisory team based in Soho, London, the business has further strengthened its sector knowledge and experience through a merger with Balmforth Associates, led by Bryony Balmforth.

Now in its 12th year, Balmforth Associates has built an impressive client portfolio across the creative, media and built environment sector. Commenting on the merger and her transition to Fortus, Balmforth said: “Establishing and growing Balmforth Associates has been a tremendous experience, and this feels the right time to make the move both for myself and the business. There’s certainly a very natural fit with Fortus from a cultural perspective too. The work they’ve delivered in the creative space over the past two years gives us huge confidence that we’ll be in a solid position to strengthen our offer and broaden the range of services we provide to our clients, whilst retaining the same high level of personal care and support.”

The Creative Industries team at Fortus work with clients in marketing and advertising, television and film production, publishing, music, fashion and architecture, and have a host of industry leading clients within their portfolio.

Rob Quinn, Executive Director and National Head of Creative Industries comments: “Despite the challenging, and at times, fluctuating circumstances, so many of our clients have traded under within the sector, the past 12 months at Fortus have been very positive, with the offering continuing to be extremely well-received by the industry. This announcement represents a natural extension to our expertise within the industry and I look forward to welcoming Bryony to the team. She’s well-known and highly respected within the industry and her sector expertise will be a valuable addition to our clients and Fortus as a whole. Looking to the future, post-pandemic, the UK Creative Industries remain a vitally important part of the UK economy and we’re striving to remain at the forefront of the support available to business owners across the sector.”
