Crossan brings over 20 years of experience in the sector to Freshworks and is tasked with leading the company’s rapid growth across Europe.

Previously, Crossan served as Vice President Sales, EMEA for Zendesk for nearly five years, guiding his team through consecutive periods of rapid growth. Prior to that, Crossan held the role as Area Vice President, EMEA Enterprise Business Unit Service Cloud at Salesforce, leading EMEA sales teams to rapidly accelerate their bookings across a two-year period.

“Naturally in my previous posts, I’ve been keeping a close eye on Freshworks, and I have always admired and respected the company for its best-in-class customer and employee engagement solutions,” said John Crossan, Vice President, Europe, of Freshworks. “In my opinion, there’s nothing else on the market that can deliver end-to-end solutions across CX, IT and CRM quite like Freshworks. In fact, it was the company’s integrated platform play that compelled me to join, with its simple, easy-to-use products helping businesses delight their customers and employees.”

Crossan added, “With more than 50,000 customers, including Klarna, Trainline and BrewDog in Europe, I believe Freshworks is well-positioned to become the top customer and employee engagement platform in Europe. This, coupled with its strong sense of purpose and great culture, means I am looking forward to ensuring that it can remain a top destination for talent to stay and grow.”

“John is an industry veteran with a huge amount of knowledge and experience to contribute to Freshworks in Europe,” said Girish Mathrubootham, CEO of Freshworks. “I look forward to seeing the pivotal role he’ll play in the next phase of our growth.”
