Growthdeck closes £1.1m fundraise for high-end restaurant delivery service SUPPER
Private equity investment firm Growthdeck has closed a £1.1m fundraise for SUPPER, the premium London restaurant delivery service.
In the next month Growthdeck is also aiming to raise an additional £500,000 to take the total to £1.6m.
SUPPER counts Michelin-starred Club Gascon and Veeraswamy among its roster of clients, as well as many of the Capital’s most popular dining spots, including Nobu, Roka and Park Chinois. SUPPER also delivers products from Harrods Food Hall and Fortnum & Mason outside of mealtimes and a full selection of drinks from Hedonism ‘on-demand’.
The business operates a fleet of custom-made, gyroscopically stable, delivery vehicles to ensure that food arrives at customers’ homes looking exactly as it did when it left the restaurant.
All drivers are employed directly by SUPPER with no use of ‘gig economy’ workers, allowing it to train staff comprehensively and ensure uniform quality of service.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, SUPPER has more than doubled its customer base to more than 85,000 users.
SUPPER will use the capital raised by Growthdeck to expand its operations in London. It aims to increase its customer base to over 120,000, and the number of restaurants on the platform from the current 130 to 300, by the end of 2021.
SUPPER also aims to execute a digital marketing strategy and expand its geographic reach with the development of localised partner kitchens.
A new, high-profile addition to the roster of restaurants available on SUPPER’s platform is the Corbin & King premium restaurant group. This gives customers the ability to order from the likes of The Wolseley, The Delaunay and Brasserie Zédel.
