Gumtree strengthens leadership team with new senior hires

Gumtree has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointments of a new Chief Marketing Officer and a Head of Motors.
Claire Howard-Jones has joined Gumtree UK as the Chief Marketing Officer, taking responsibility for marketing across the full Gumtree portfolio, including for Motors.co.uk, which was acquired by the business in February. Claire brings with her more than 20 years of marketing leadership experience with brands including Amazon, Ancestry.com, Sainsbury’s, Expedia, TripAdvisor and British Airways.
Phill Jones has been appointed Head of Motors, joining Claire to drive the growth of Gumtree’s multi-million-pound motors business. In addition, Katherine Cunliffe is being promoted to take on the role of Head of Product – Motors, tasked with delivering the new joint proposition for dealers, following the integration of Motors.co.uk, eBay Motors and Gumtree Motors.
