HeleCloud, an AWS advanced consulting and managed services partner, has announced it has acquired OlinData, an AWS advanced consulting partner based in the Netherlands, specialised in open source infrastructure.
OlinData is HeleCloud’s first acquisition as part of its ongoing growth across Europe, supported by BGF, the UK and Ireland’s most active investor.
“I am extremely excited to be welcoming Walter, Mine and the team to HeleCloud”, said Dob Todorov, CEO and CCO, HeleCloud. “Just like HeleCloud, OlinData is highly experienced in helping customers build better businesses on the AWS Cloud. By acquiring OlinData, we are able to establish a strong presence in the Benelux and further fuel our ambitions to be at the forefront of the Cloud services business in Europe.”
“We are thrilled to be joining forces with HeleCloud,” said Walter Heck, CEO of OlinData. “By combining our specialist expertise and complimentary service portfolios, OlinData and HeleCloud can offer customers an even better equipped team of proven experts within the fields of security and compliance, open source, DevOps, advanced analytics and process models as well as AWS certified consultants and engineers.”
Digital transformation is now a matter of existence for all businesses across Europe. The adoption of Cloud – a key pillar of transformation – continues to be a challenge for most. Many continue to struggle to identify the right approach for the business and are unsure of how to manage data governance, slowing progress.
One reason for this is the scarcity of skills within businesses. CIOs are often confronted with the difficult decision between moving ahead with substandard skills or delaying project completion until they can hire specialists.
As an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner, OlinData helps enterprise-level and mid-size businesses optimise usage, reduce costs and streamline set-up through a combination of consultancy, engineering and remote management offerings.
Today, HeleCloud operates in London, England and Sofia, Bulgaria with 73 employees spanning both countries. The business received a £2m investment from BGF in October 2018 to further accelerate its development strategy. By the end of 2019, HeleCloud expects to surpass 100 employees and achieve more than 200% growth.
