SME owners in Devon are being urged to attend Plymouth Science Park on Tuesday, February 11 for a business growth event to get all the support they need – and it’s completely free to attend.
The Plymouth Business Growth Forum is being hosted by Inspire, a South West business support service that helps provide SMEs with first-rate business strategy, networking opportunities and access to capital.
Inspire already provide support for high-growth businesses in Bristol, Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire, for which they are scale-up ambassadors, and last year were selected by the Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership to pilot a scale-up programme for fast-growing Devon SMEs.
They launched the programme in Honiton in October, which attracted almost 150 business owners, and CEO Rob Perks said: “It was fantastic to attract so many like-minded business people and let them know about the resources that are available.
“However, we understand that many businesses may not have been able to take time out of their day to get to Honiton, which is why we’ve decided to host this second event.
“There is so much information out there and we’re here to find which is right for your business, whether that’s access to the right markets and finance or leadership development and searching for new talent.”
The service also includes access to the Goldman Sachs 10,000 small business programme which provides 100 hours of fully funded support to growing businesses.
They are partnering with Devon & Plymouth Chamber, whose Chief Executive Stuart Elford commented: “For us it’s all about building partnerships for a brighter future for our local businesses and working with Inspire will help our businesses grow and succeed.”
The event will run from 9.30am-noon and visitors will hear from Rob, Henrietta Brown, Inspire’s Business Development Director, and will also be able to find out more on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 small business programme.
