In 2014, Salford Business School won the Business School of the year at the Times Higher Awards, recognising the sector-leading work in supporting small and medium businesses and offering to students innovative industry experiences.

In 2018, Salford Business School was again recognised for its ability to boost students’ employability, when being announced as runners up at the Guardian University Awards 2018 for launching the professional development module for second year graduates.

The programme has encouraged students to evaluate their future career prospects: approximately 10% of the student group had a LinkedIn profile when commencing the module, 96% had one upon completion. Employability data also shows an increase in the employment rate, between the 2015-16 and 2016-17 cohorts of 7.3% percent, with an extra 8.3% in graduate level jobs.
