Huddersfield chartered accountants, Revell Ward, is continuing its business growth strategy with the introduction of financial recruitment support.
The move comes as part of the firm’s plans to increase turnover through a strategy focussed on long-term business support and advisory services for existing and new clients.
The firm, which already provides SMEs with project based, on-site support in the absence of an employed financial controller, has launched the new service to help firms that have grown to a size where they require a in-house finance position.
Commenting on the move, director, Karen Borowski, said: “Over the past twelve months, we have experienced a marked increase in the number of clients who access on-site accounting support through our customised financial controller service, and we now deliver that service for around 305 of our top 30 clients.
“Recruitment support is the natural next step, meaning we can provide added value to our clients for a fixed fee.”
The firm recently supported in the recruitment of a financial controller for building materials supplier, Timber Specialists.
Kevin Smith, director, said: “Instead of involving recruitment firms, we were able to access Revell Ward’s network of contacts to source candidates, and enlist their support with technical interviews, drawing up a shortlist and making final recommendations.
“This provided much better value than advertising the role, and knowing that our new financial controller would be working closely with the Revell Ward team anyway, meant using the service made commercial sense.”
