We The Curious – TechFusion

Earlier this month, the inaugural TechFusion event took place at We The Curious in Bristol. Hosted by Blackstar Solutions, the business technology event saw attendees gain valuable insights from industry experts through a variety of seminars and exhibits.

This year some world-renowned tech companies exhibited at the event, including Samsung, Huawei, Sony, Gamma, Canon, Sage, Sennheiser and Mitel.

Mandy Bridge from Eloquent Technologies, said: “It’s a huge amount of effort to put into an event like TechFusion, the fact Blackstar Solutions have gone over and beyond for their customer and their partners to put on an event like this for me sets them apart.”

Richard Vinall of DMC Canotec commented: “The atmosphere here today has been excellent, there’s been a good mix of seminars and exhibitions and the people here appreciated it, we’ll definitely be back next year.”

The day of seminars provided delegates with an opportunity to learn about the latest business technology.

Smartphone provider Huawei presented to attendees, an in-depth analysis of how to optimise your business’ internet and ‘Software Defined Networking’.

Cloud software firm, Sage offered attendees an insight into their accounting platform and the benefits the cloud can offer.

Other topics and businesses focused around cyber security, online video, the growth of ‘Gigabit Bristol’, as well as the wider communications aspects of business technology.

The seminars ended with a keynote from VP of International Marketing at Mitel, David Silke on giving machines a voice and our attitude to the decrease in human interaction.

Nick Smith of Blackstar Solutions summarised: “This was a remarkable first event. It was great to see the engagement by clients, prospects and the support for the event within Bristol. We are already looking forward to next year.”
