International legal practice Osborne Clarke, which employs over 650 people at its Temple Quay offices in Bristol, has achieved a UK revenue of £166.4m, an increase of 8% from £154.6m in 2019/20.

Internationally it has achieved a revenue of €341m for 2020/21. This is a 7% increase on 2019/20 (which was €318m) and a 55% increase over five years.

The firm’s technology, media and communications (TMC) practice grew 21%, retail and consumer increased by 16%, energy and utilities was up by 8%, and financial services up 7%.

Ray Berg, Osborne Clarke’s UK Managing Partner, said: “Our people have supported our clients, their colleagues and our business through one of the most volatile periods we have ever experienced. It’s been a massive team effort that has really paid off in our results. The whole partnership is truly grateful because we appreciate how mentally taxing the year has been. That’s why it’s been a priority to support our peoples’ health and wellbeing while we also recognise and reward their contributions.”

Commenting on the results Peter Clough, Head of Osborne Clarke’s Bristol office said: “Despite the testing circumstances, I am thrilled to see the hard work of our people reflected in these results. I would like to thank our people and clients for their fantastic support.”

Having been founded in Bristol, the firm retains strong ties to the city. Last year the firm announced that it was moving its Temple Quay office to Halo, a landmark green office building that will form the next phase of the Finzels Reach development. Osborne Clarke has spent the last year planning and working with its people on the design of the new office.
