International Trade Secretary visits leading South West exporter

Earlier this week, the International Trade Secretary, Liz Truss MP made a visit to one of Devon’s leading export companies – LittlePod – a specialist in natural vanilla products.
Enjoyed all over the world, LittlePod welcomed Truss and gave her and East Devon Conservative candidate Simon Jupp a tour of its countryside facility, where they use real vanilla in a variety of different products.
LittlePod’s founder Janet Sawyer welcomed the visit and said: “Putting political allegiances to one side, it’s always good to tell our story to those who are interested enough to listen. We talked at length about LittlePod and the importance of using real vanilla, supporting the farmers/growers on the Equatorial Belt and, in the process, encouraging reforestation — an issue that impacts upon us all.
“Having just returned from Tanzania, this visit could not have been more timely, and we enjoyed recounting tales about our trip and the importance of our ‘Campaign for Real Vanilla’.
“Needless to say, we’d welcome a visit from candidates representing the other parties as, regardless of politics, getting our message across is very important. Tea, cake and a warm welcome always await at LittlePod, where we’re passionate about bringing people together and presenting a united front for cause that puts politics into perspective.
Super visit to vanilla firm @little_pod in Farringdon and East Devon Tories with our excellent candidate @simonjamesjupp. Lots of local products sampled. #devonspirit #GE19 pic.twitter.com/5CiITp1uhV
