Baroness Karren Brady has resigned from her role as Chairman of Sir Philip Green’s retail empire, just a few weeks after publicly stating that she would remain in the role, despite the ongoing harassment scandal surrounding Green.

The holding company for Sir Philip Green’s Arcadia Group, Taveta, gave public notice that she had stepped down from her role – but gave no reason for her decision.

Green has been hit with a series of sexual harassment and racial abuse towards staff in recent months – accusations which he strongly denies.

Arcadia also announced that Sharon Brown has also resigned from her role as the company’s non-executive director.

A short statement from the company read: “Taveta thanks them for their contribution and wishes them well for the future.”

  1. Why are these women resigning they can do more good in the job than out of it; they can help push change through which will support and protect the employees who don’t have a voice.
