KPMG bolsters Bristol team with various new appointments

KPMG UK has further invested in its Bristol team and increased its support for the South West business community with a string of promotions and appointments.

The professional services firm has made six partner promotions, with Iain Prince (Consulting), Ian Wood (Deal Advisory), Jon Brown (Audit), Simon Robinson, David Harris and Roger Gadd (Tax and KPMG Law) becoming partners at its office in Bristol, where more than 500 colleagues are based.

Other Bristol promotions include a new associate director, seven senior managers and nine managers.

The firm has also taken on 27 graduates and apprentices – 22 in its Audit team and five in Tax – in the South West. This intake spans areas of the organisation including Corporate Tax, Family and Private Client, and Financial Services Tax, as well as both KPMG’s Intensive and Empowered Audit Graduate programmes, which give graduates the option to train in an office closer to where they live, should they wish.

Ian Brokenshire, Office Senior Partner for KPMG in the South West, said: “Our region’s business community has a pivotal role to play in the UK’s economic recovery, and there has never been a more exciting time to support our local companies to navigate the increasingly complex challenges they are facing and continue to target growth.

“Our clients have always relied on the experience and expertise of our people to support them through these challenges, which is why we continue to invest in the team here and talent across the South West, both for the immediate future and much further ahead.

“We pride ourselves on our ability to create a working environment which encourages our people, at all levels of the business, to build skills and grow their careers.”
