Law firm appoints new solicitor to take reins of corporate and commercial team

Gordon Brown Law Firm has announced the appointment of a new solicitor who will take the reins of its corporate and commercial team.

Gateshead solicitor John Morgan joins as partner and head of commercial, bringing with him a wealth of legal experience.

Having previously held the position of managing associate at Womble Bond Dickinson LLP, Morgan specialised in commercial real estate, supervising a dedicated property pensions team and working closely with the firm’s restructuring and insolvency department and property law team.

Prior to this, Morgan qualified as a solicitor at Muckle LLP after completing his academic qualifications at Northumbria University.

Morgan said: “As a partner at GBLF, I will oversee the growing commercial team whilst strengthening its presence in the region’s legal arena, increasing the firm’s commercial property reach.

“This role will bring with it new challenges and opportunities, and I look forward to reconnecting with the local market from a fresh perspective with a new firm.

His new role will see him head up the commercial department at GBLF, working closely with the team, to provide support and guidance to SMEs and large companies whilst assisting with complex transactions surrounding commercial property.
