On 24 September, London SMEs are being invited to attend an ‘America Made Easy’ business workshop hosted by Newable. The workshop will provide valuable insight into the obstacles that entrepreneurs face when launching their business in the U.S – the UK’s number one export market.
Newable, as the leading provider of money, advice and space to SMEs, will provide an in-depth look at different areas including current trends and sector opportunities, navigating the U.S market and its State differences, through to finance, legal, new business, marketing, PR and HR functions. Attendees will be able to hear from experts in the various topics including Newable’s own consultants and successful businesses that have made the transition.
The London event is part of Newable’s recently launched America Made Easy programme, an innovative partnership with leading American business services firm Avitus Group. The service, which has been designed to offer a flexible, turnkey solution to U.S expansion, will provide all the advantages of expanding into the U.S market without any of the regulatory or administrative responsibility, or long-term risk, with a single monthly fee allowing clear forecasting.
The US-UK investment relationship is the largest in the world, with a cumulative bi-lateral stock in direct investment valued at more than $1.2 trillion. In 2018, London alone exported £37.5 billion of goods worldwide, with over 10% of that going to the US.
The 350-strong Newable is no stranger to facilitating successful overseas trade. As a leading delivery partner for the Department for International Trade, in 2018 it supported nearly 10,000 U.K businesses with their export drives generating £2.5bn of new business.
Chris Manson, Chief Executive Officer of Newable, comments: “London is the financial centre of the world and a petri dish for entrepreneurial development, particularly in the technology and finance sectors. It is estimated that the number of new businesses based in the capital is around half a million in total; some of which are hugely exciting opportunities with big growth potential – the likes of which there is a huge appetite for in the U.S. However, while there are significant opportunities over the pond, there is a complex web of nuances in terms laws, regulations and processes across its 50 states, which can be a minefield without the correct guidance and counsel.”
“Following years of successful exporting with the Department for International Trade, our America Made Easy programme is a natural extension – allowing SMEs to focus on the thing that matters most – running their business. The unique co-employment model with Avitus means that we will take on the heavy lifting and responsibility, allowing these growing businesses to thrive.”
The event runs at Clyde & Co, Beaufort House, 15 St Botolph Street, London EC3A 7NJ on Tuesday, 24 September 2019, 09:00-13:00. Registrations open at 9:00am.
